This neck blank is big enough to cut any standard size neck for an acoustic, archtop or classical guitar in one piece. It is the easiest and quickest size blank to make a neck from. It is frequently used on electric guitar necks and is also a very popular material for the necks of archtop guitars. Maple can also be used on acoustic guitar necks and looks great when used on a guitar with a back and sides of maple or other very light coloured timber. Rock maple is harder, stronger and heavier than other popular neck timbers such as mahogany and Queensland Maple. It works well with sharp tools and has a pleasant fragrance.
