American Rock Maple has been the choice of timber for Fender electric guitars forever. It has become the mainstay of bolt-on neck guitars from all brands. The wood is hard but carves well. The grain direction overall is straight so they are strong and stable. The blanks are dry and ready to use. The blanks big enough to make neck with a separate fingerboard, but slightly too thin to make a one-piece maple neck.
