This jig is a great option for cutting binding trenches, especially in archtop instruments and instruments with tight curves.
The Basic Binding Router Guide is the most economical alternative for cutting binding trenches with a router.
It fits onto a standard Dremel or Black & Decker rotary tool. It's used in conjunction with our 5/16" Binding Router Bit to create accurate rebates for bindings and purflings.
The depth of cut is set with the chuck of the Dremel, the width of cut is adjustable using a thumbscrew adjustment. The guide pin runs along the side of the instrument, controlling the width of the cut.
Available individually or in a set with our Router Bit for Binding.
