Laminated Timber Purfling - Black/White

Purflings are decorative strips used to the inside of the bindings. Normally the purflings are arranged so that there is a black layer against a light coloured top, back or binding and a white layer against a dark back, top or binding. These laminated timber purflings are made using a fibre material for the black layer, making them very flexible. They can be glued in place at the same time as the binding without pre-bending. Use the same glue as for the binding, Titebond for timber bindings and plastic glue for plastic binding. The purflings can also be used as a rosette, either by inlaying multiple pieces or using in combination with Abalone purling strips. - Black/white - blacks are flexible fiber, whites are maple timber - 1.0mm (0.04") wide - 0.5B/0.5W - 2.5mm (0.10") deep - 875mm (34.5") long - 2 required for 1 guitar top or back - Long enough for large guitars
