Details

Pickups are relatively standard in size. J.Bass and P.Bass pickups are universal and the different brands are mostly interchangeable. This means replacing them is usually an easy task.

It's important to choose the same size of pickup if you don't want to do any major modification of your bass.

The simplest way to replace a pickup is to unsolder the old pickup from the switch or pot and solder on the new one. Check the wiring diagram to ensure you are attaching the correct wires to the lugs.
