The L5™ is Gibson's most popular archtop jazz guitar. It has been used by many jazz musicians over the years. It features a carved, solid timber top and back and a traditional trapeze tailpiece with a floating bridge.
Like any archtop guitar the L5 is a challenging build and requires both acoustic and electric guitar making techniques. The extensive use of inlay and binding also add to the complexity of building this style of guitar.
