This set of two ukulele plans is beautifully drawn. It includes full-scale printed plans of a Martin soprano and concert ukulele. Each plan includes a fret slotting chart, materials list, bracing diagram, neck details & more.
The soprano is the smallest standard size ukulele and has a scale length of 13.5". The concert is a medium size ukulele and has a scale length of 15".
Ukuleles are slightly easier to build than guitars due to their small size and general lack of ornamentation. A variety of different tone woods can be used to change the look and sound of the instrument. Ukuleles are often left very simple but more decoration such as inlays and binding can be used if desired.
