This set of three ukulele plans is beautifully drawn. It includes full-scale printed plans of Martin soprano and concert sizes and a Kamaka Tenor ukulele. Each plan includes a fret slotting chart, materials list, bracing diagram, neck details & more.
The Soprano is the smallest standard ukulele and has a scale length of 13.5". The concert is a medium size ukulele and has a scale length of 15". The tenor is a large ukulele (second only to the baritone size) and has a scale length of 17".
Ukuleles are slightly easier to build than guitars due to their small size and general lack of ornamentation. A variety of different tonewoods can be used to change the look and sound of the instrument. Ukuleles are often left very simple but more decoration such as inlays and binding can be used if desired.
