These UKA model deluxe ukulele tuners are made by Gotoh in Japan.
They are friction pegs so the tuning action is direct with no gearing. The amount of friction is ideal for soprano and concert ukuleles. The tuners aren't recommended for tenor or baritone ukuleles as the tension of the strings is too strong for the friction to hold.
