The sanding sealer builds up fast to fill the grain and is easier to sand than regular lacquer. It can be applied over Vinyl Sealer. Vinyl Sealer is a perfect all around sealer that works well for any project. It's moisture-resistant and non-shrinking and adheres well to oily woods. It is applied as a thin coat over raw or stained timber. It is not used to fill grain in the way Sanding Sealer is.
