The Nut & Saddle Sander allows you to sand the bottom of a nut or saddle perfectly flat and square and adjust its height accurately. Sanding nuts and saddles by hand is a difficult and inaccurate job. Holding the small piece in your fingers makes it nearly impossible to sand the surface flat and square, leading to bad tone and problems with undersaddle pickups. Sanding by hand also often leads to taking too much off and wrecking the piece. The Nut and Saddle Sander makes this difficult task much easier and more accurate. It holds the nut or saddle perfectly square and allows for a precise amount to be sanded off the bottom. For a full description please see below. - Precision machined from aluminium - Smooth ball-bearing guides - Clamps nut or saddle in place for easy sanding - Adjusts to perfectly fit different nuts and saddles - Accurate depth adjustment - Spring-loaded jaws for easy insertion - Thumbwheel adjustment screws for height - For nut/saddle material up to 82mm x 10mm (3-1/4"" x 3/8”)

The Nut & Saddle Sander has a sort of ‘vice’ which clamps the nut or saddle in place. The whole device is run back and forward over a flat sanding block until the right amount is sanded off.

The ball-bearing wheel guides keep the device square and level. When these all contact the sanding block the sanding is done.

Adjustment thumbwheel screws allow you to precisely adjust how much to take off the bottom of the nut or saddle. This is especially useful when adjusting the action of a guitar.

There are two sets of holes for the adjustment screws, one for nuts, one for saddles. They are calibrated so each mark equals a 0.1mm change in height.
