Pickguard Blanks for Electric Guitar & Bass - 1-Ply

The conventional way to cut plastic pickguards to shape is using a template and a ball bearing router bit. A straight bit is used for the pickup cutouts and a bevel bit is used for the edges.

If a router isn't available you can use a saw to cut the blanks to shape. The rough edges left by the sawblade should be tidied up with a file or sandpaper then polished through the grades of sandpaper until a satisfactory finish is achieved.
