1/4" (6.4mm) hole diameter to fit USA solid shaft pots - It is important that the knobs match the pots used or damage can result to both. The three common size pots used on guitars are -

1) USA split shaft (fine knurled) used on most American and Mexican guitars
2) Metric split shaft (coarse knurled) used on most Japanese and Asian guitars
