African Mahogany Double Neck Blank - 1st Grade

Mahogany has been used for the necks of electric guitars since their development. It is most often used in Gibson-style set necks but works well for Fender-style bolt on necks. Khaya is an beautiful species of Mahogany from Africa. It is very similar to the traditional Honduran/Brazilian Mahogany in its look, density and sonic properties. The timber is medium-density, stable and strong. It has straight grain and carves and sands easily. This neck blank is big enough to cut 2 x one-piece necks of any standard size for a steel string acoustic or electric guitar. It is the easiest and quickest size blank to make necks from. Minimum dimensions - 89mm x 120mm x 750mm Quartersawn along the 89mm face
