White plastic rod for creating side dots in dark coloured or bound fingerboards

To install plastic side dots drill a 2mm hole 2-4mm deep, using a sharp drill bit or preferably a brad-point drill bit. Glue the end of the rod into the hole with a little superglue or epoxy and then cut it off a little proud using a sharp knife or fret cutters.

Once the glue has dried level the dot to the timber using a hard sanding block with sandpaper attached with double-sided tape. This hard block will help keep the surface level.
