American Rock Maple has been the choice of timber for Fender electric guitars forever. It has become the mainstay of bolt-on neck guitars from all brands. These 1st-grade blanks exhibit a beautiful curly figure. The grain direction overall is straight so they are strong and stable. The wood is hard but carves well. The blanks are dry and ready to use. The blanks are big enough to make a one-piece neck with the maple fingerboard as part of the neck. They can also have a fingerboard of another timber such as Rosewood or Ebony attached. - Flamed American Maple - Quarter sawn -1st Grade - Photos are examples only, grain will be different but all are of the same high quality - Minimum Dimensions - 105mm x 25mm x 700mm (4-9/64" x 63/64" x 27-9/16") - 1.2kg - 1.6kg

Rock maple is a very hard, light-coloured timber which grows in Northern America. It is ideal for necks and can be used for one-piece necks with the fingerboard as part of the neck. A lacquer should always be applied over a maple fingerboard to prevent staining from dirt.
