This handy gauge allows you to quickly check the slots are deep enough in a fingerboard before installing the frets.
You can identify shallow slots or slots filled with debris which would make the fret sit high.
The line markings let you see if the slot is deep enough. Simply compare the tang depth of the fret to the distance to the line.
The four sides have different radii (7.25" - 9.5", 10" - 14", 15"- 20”, "Flat")
