Refretting a guitar involves removing the old frets, then installing and dressing frets. The kit has tools to do all of these tasks.

The Fret Removing Pliers are designed specifically for pulling frets. They are used to remove frets from fingerboards with little or no damage.

The Diamond Fret Leveling File is used to level the frets, then the Fret File is used to round off the frets to a perfect shape. The Fret End Dressing file is then used to smooth the sharp corners of each fret.

The Fingerboard Guards are used to protect the fingerboard while sanding and polishing the frets.
