Pearl Inlay Starter Kit

The Pearl Cutting Saw Frames and Blades are specially made for pearl inlay and jewellery work. The blades are super fine, so fine it’s difficult to even see the teeth. The fine teeth in the blades allow you to cut the brittle shell without cracking it. They also allow for cutting tight radii and leave a smooth edge that needs little filing.

The Precision Router Base is an absolute must have tool for any luthier or guitar repairer.
It turns a Dremel or other rotary tool into a mini router with a range of uses including routing inlay cavities, routing rosette trenches and widening fret slots.

Downcut Inlay Router Bits are the best router bits for inlay work and saddle slotting. Solid carbide cutters last far longer than steel,and reverse spiral flutes cut downward for cleaner, "no fuzz" edges in routed cavities and rosette trenches.
3/64" (1.2mm) - For fine inlays and narrow rosette routs.
1/16" (1.6mm) - For general inlay and rosette routing.


Zap Z-Poxy Finishing Resin is the best epoxy we have found for filling around inlays and for grain filling on Rosewoods and other hard, grainy timbers.
It's very thin compared to most epoxies and penetrates into narrow cracks around inlays without forming bubbles. It can be mixed with wood dust or Tempera powder to form a coloured filler for inlaying.

3 sheets of inlay blanks at different sizes, thickness and materials are included in this kit, which can be cut to create custom inlays for both fingerboard and headstocks.
