Bunya has been used as steel string guitar soundboards with excellent results by Maton Guitars and Cole Clark Guitars, as well as many hand builders over the last decade. It's aesthetic and tonal qualities make it an ideal timber for electric guitar bodies. The timber is lightweight, resonant and very easy to work with, making it ideal for the bodies of electric guitars. The colour is light overall but exhibits interesting features of red to green hues.
