The Binding Router Jig is the best system available for routing binding and purfling trenches in guitars and other instruments.
The jig holds the instrument so the sides are perfectly vertical and in line with the router bit. This guarantees perfectly square, perfectly even binding rebates every time. The benefits are more consistent bindings and less work levelling up the bindings after installation.
The system works in conjunction with our Binding Router Bit Sets with Ball Bearings. It requires a laminate trimmer (small router) to be mounted with the router bit in place.
The router floats vertically along a precision track allowing it to follow the curve of the top or back and cut a consistent binding or purling rebate.
Requires some assembly and the cutting of a timber baseboard (instructions included)
- For flat-top and archtop instruments
- Works with any size bindings or purflings
- Direct fit for Bosch GMR1 240v mini router (not included)
- Fits other mini routers & laminate trimmers with drilling
- Smooth, precise & consistent
- Used with our Binding Router Bits with Ball Bearings
- Precision machined & cast
- Solid aluminium & steel construction
- Includes instructions for assembly & use
